Anyone use Supertech Antifreeze?
Anyone use Supertech Antifreeze?
Picked up 3 quarts of undiluted Supertech antifreeze tonight. Is that the same as any other? Anyone use it? Meets all the requirements... Now I'm trying to figure out where to get distilled water. I haven't seen it in front of grocery stores in a while...
dunno about the content of supertech stuff- might check this site http://bobistheoilguy.com
they're real good on oil information, maybe someone has checked the antifreeze... I don't really like what Prestone has done to their formulas lately, either... the "any color" just doesn't make me comfortable- maybe they've decided to spend their money on better lawyers than better product... Personally, I'd rather spend the extra $$ for genuine Cummins antifreeze (Fleetguard, I think)
you should be able to get distilled water at many groceries, but the generic drinking water should be fine, too... look for the label to say "prepared by RO" or "reverse osmosis"... I've also seen it referred to as deionized water..
just keep an eye on it- I like the voltmeter test myself... put one lead on ground, the other in the antifreeze, without touching anything but liquid... readings of less than .3v mean the antifreeze anti-corrosion components are working...
