Angry What The????

Had my motor rebuilt about 10k ago. I was just running my comp box 5x5 and I could peg the pyro. Loaded smarty on #8 and comp on 5x5. It feels like my power has gotten less. I can barely hit 1250 on the pyro.. What's up with that? Also sometimes my comp box does not light up when I start my truck so I have to turn it off and start it back up.. I just had the comp repaired about 6 months ago. Is it time for a TST 3 Comp??? I'm not sure I wan't a box with no on the fly timing, any suggestions out there...

heat will kill vp's just as quick as low fuel pressure.

Your Comp could've gone bad. It does happen with them periodically.

Take it to a dealer or a diesel shop. They unplug the ECM from the VP, and plug in a Cummins test tool, which will diagnose electronic problems. GCL in either Edmonton or Calgary (not sure which part of the province you're in) should be able to do this. Don't bother with NADP, they will just farm it out. They said they do bolt on parts, and can't do any diagnosis.
