There you go Jory!!! I think when Randy and I were talking he mentioned that it would probably be better suited for a manual truck as you will be taking the load off the engine between shifts thus allowing the BOV to relieve the excess volume of air. It will take some tedious fine tuning, but could work very well for your situation.

Besides the obvious issue how do you like the 62? Until I get bigger sticks I'm as cool as a cucumber not breaking 1250* at WOT with Smarty and TST all the way up. Boost is wastegated at just about 48psi which is plenty for me until I stud it.

I love the 62. Spools just slower than stock but could run a impact wrench at WOT! My big problem now is my fuel pressure droping to 3 psi!!!! I guess I'll have to live with the bark. II ensured me that it wouldn't hurt anything. The BOV are just too high. Thanks for thinking of me though, I appreciate it.

Well, that is why I didn't go by hear-say and called the actual guys that put them together and asked, "will it hurt the shaft or bearings". When they said "no, they have never seen one returned due to a failure caused by 'barking' ", I took their word for it. I know if has to be rough on it, but that is why they put oversized shafts in them. 'eh????

Assuming your turbo is the same as mine- you just put a little hex key into the elbow to adjust the boost pressure. I took mine down from 45 to 40 with a 1/4 turn counterclockwise.

I've barked mine a few times if I go from wot to idle so I just learned not to do that and the bark is gone I don't completely let off the throttle during shifts now. But I don't worry to much about barking now, these turbos are made to withstand some abuse. The one thing that worried me about barking with the stock air box is I could hear the drop in filter jumping around in the box =\

Hopefully, I can just tweek the boost back up and not have to re-install those dang tubes. I hate that idle, but I lost ponies somewhere here....I sure hope I don't have to recall that post I put on the "high flow tube" link today about them.

I sure wish I had a dyno in my shop!!!!

Dork.
On my setup the dyno showed just maybe 15 hp difference between a high 30 something pound run and a 45 lb run. I do think you'd be better off adjusting the elbow instead of controlling boost with the juice- cuz the juice would back off the fuel to contol boost

Turbo bark used to be a probelm with HX35-40 series turbos because it would snap shafts. This just isn't a problem with PS series turbos because they have a larger, much stronger shaft. Don't worry about it.
