Air Filter

Just a quick question. Can I pick up any horsepower by replacing stock air filter with a K&N type filter. Just looking for a little HP cheap.

Not enuff to notice......your engine will breathe a little better....you want horsepower add fueling

You may lose EGTs which can lead to pushing more fuel in safely but I doubt you'll gain hp directly from the swap.

While some will undoubtedly disagree, A K&N filter is definitely NOT the best choice for a diesel application. A much better choice would be to lose the stock airbox and get an AFE Proguard 7 :
