Advantages of ATS exh. manifold?

Looking into buying a 3 piece exh. manifold and wondering if there any real advantages to it other than not shrinking. Are the egts the same or spoolup quicker? I know these are the manufactors claims, but wondering if you are seeing it in real driving conditions. Thanks Tim

Justin, what kind of tips do you have for me? I just ordered one from piers as well as the steering bearing and bracket kit. Piers really does have good customer service. Tim

From what I've heard it flows about 13% better than stock.

not if you have a stock turbo and turbine housing.

Re:Advantages of ATS exh. maanifold?

Tips for installation.
These manifolds can be a real b---- to install or they can be somewhat cooperative.

1. Have an extra set of hands around.
2. Match the existing manifold bolt holes with the new manifold.
3. Make sure the new manifold is true, if not bang rap it on the a flat surface (like concrete floor) to straighten.
4. Just start the bolts at one end and adjust manifold as you install. By adjusting I mean taking a 6 lb beater and "convincing" it into position, you might use a 1/2" long extension to convince the rear of the manifold to line up perfectly. (these 3 piece manifolds do not adjust with your hands, there pretty tight)
5. Take your time.
6. You might want to get an extra Allen wrench/hex key and cut about half the stock off the usable end off (to fit into the middle top two bolts)
7. Buy a socket also with this Hex key size.
8. New manifold gaskets (might as well).
9. You will need to use the existing studs from your manifold (so have channel locks to remove and reinstall)
10. Anti seize is good to apply to the studs upon reinstallation.
11. Your going to have to manipulate the provided bracket to secure to your coolant lines.
