Hellmans exh. manifold
Anybody runnin it? Care to comment on EGT drop (I really dont need it) or quicker spooling (does it really help spooling)? Does it effect anything being a one piece instead of 2 or 3? I understand why the multiple piece design is a good idea but does it change performance at all?

John at Floor It is doing some testing right now on a 1 piece stainless tubular manifold and has seen some good results with egts and spool. Not sure if they are actually for sale yet or not, but if not, they are close. It's a great looking piece too.

This might be a dumb question and a little off topic. But you don't need a multiple piece exhaust manifold to run a big single or twins do you?
The reason I ask is becuase I see alot of twin kits offered w/ a 3 piece exhaust manifold. Does that just reduce the chance of it cracking/splitting?

Actually the reason for the 3 piece with the twins is just the configuration. It is a 2gen manifold that was originally designed for flow and heat dissipation and resisting cracks. It gets used on 3rd gen twin set ups because when you flip it upside down and install it, it puts the top turbo in a pretty good spot to work from. A single piece and/or different design could certainly be used, but these manifolds are already mass produced and therefore are much easier to use than a one off.
