New Bumper?

Hit a big dalmation last night in the desert doing 70ish... I won.

I need a new front bumper now though... any suggestions? I have looked at Winston, Road Armor, and stock. I don't do much serious offroading with brush, and I don't have a winch, but rugged is always good.

2001 2500 4x4 Quadcab.

I'll have to second the DenverOffroad.

Just be prepared for a bit of a wait, Layne takes pride in his work.
Just called yesterday on the status of mine and he said 2 more weeks, about.

The DOR are aluminum instead of steel so they are quite a bit lighter. Re:New Bumper?

I just installed a Ute bumper from Layne (Denver Off Road) in Fruita, Colorado. Excellent fit and finish. And alignment is a snap. Folks are correct about the stock bumper - pretty flimsy and very light. The Ute goes about 150 lbs and it is stout. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Layne does have a couple more Ute bumpers if anyone is interested. PM me for the price. Not sure if I am supposed to post that.

T-Bone

Ute pics

Re:New Bumper?

It all depends on what you want to spend on a bumper. If money were no option, I would jump on a Ruennel in a heartbeat. That ruennel is one hefty bumper. I think they cost around 1600 dollars.

Re:New Bumper?

I ordered my Denver Off Road bumper from Layne last year just before Christmas, received it a month ago. He was doing both Ford & Dodge bumper. Cost: $1550 for the bumper, $100 for shipping crate, $129 to ship it to Sacramento, CA. I installed it all by myself, it is awesome!!! Brackets are 1/2" thick, bumper is 3/8" thick. It is massive!!

Tom

Re:New Bumper?

Stay with stock they look about umm 100 times better then anything someone welds up. IMO that is. Personally and I don't mean it to bash different strokes for differnet folks but I cannot stand the look of the bumpers some of the guys run that look like they belong on a train.

Re:New Bumper?

Hello
Try www.DiamondBbumpers.com. They use square tubing turned on a diamond and it is really cool looking and stout to boot. I have one and i love it.
