Re:New Bumper?

Jamie, I know that is your opinion, and some bumpers do look sh-tty, but I have not found one yet. Also, those stock bumpers arent cheap either. Ever hit a deer with the stocker. I do know that my winch bumper will not give. I think a bumper is the only way to go. I am not ripping on you, I just think that if you hit something with you stock bumper, take the 700 bucks it costs for everything and invest that in a bumper that will last.
I ordered my Denver Off Road bumper from Layne last year just before Christmas, received it a month ago. He was doing both Ford & Dodge bumper. Cost: $1550 for the bumper, $100 for shipping crate, $129 to ship it to Sacramento, CA. I installed it all by myself, it is awesome!!! Brackets are 1/2" thick, bumper is 3/8" thick. It is massive!!

Tom
Hear, Hear.
I ordered mine on February 26th and it should be ready any day now (2 weeks as of Monday 4/14 )
The DOR's aren't the "belong on a train" ones I think Jaimie is speaking of.
I've seen those and they are a bit much.
The UTE's are more like the train ones, IMHO.
DOR's website appears to be down, otherwise you could see some great pics of them.
Perhaps Tom could link us to the pics he put up on the TDR so we can all see them and drool a little.

phox

Re:New Bumper?

I recommend a Ranch Hand front end replacement. A friend of mine put his Ranch Hand in the back seat of an Acura that slammed on the brakes in front of him. He got out and blew the paint dust off his Ranch Hand and laughed at the lady in the car. You can't go wrong with this bumper.

Re:New Bumper?

destroyed my stock bumper and grill when a deer jumped in front of me at 25 mph. Possibly slower cause I lock up in the time I had. You should have seen my truck....It looked bad!
Now I have a pipe up there...it scares most the deer back in the darn woods and the ones it don't....well....I don't even stop and look no more. : :"JUST TURN THE WIPERS ON AND GO-ON"

Besides....trains are cool
