Bumper to Bumper End < 400 Miles
Bumper to Bumper End < 400 Miles
About to take the 03 3500 in for the last of the b2b coverage - and fortunately its the first time in to the shop. (current miles 35604)
My questions is: Is there any potential issues that I should argue be fixed that I may not be aware of yet? (issues with ball joints, steering...)
My current list is:
- Rattle from where Trans Dipstick rubs against another Tube.
- Bad handling when hitting bumps at freeway speed
- AC control slow to respond ( like Defrost to heat - takes varying mounts of time to switch over)
- Whisteling from doors (probably weather stripping)
I hate to pass out of B2B and not get something fixed just because it didnt jump out and bite me.
Thanks

Just a curiosity question for your 3500.........Does it have the 72mph vibe? Mine is the '03 2500 4x4 and definately has the vibe and am going to schedule a visit with the dealer tomorrow for mine.

Just found out about the 72mph thing today and cant honestly remember if my truck has it, havent driven it in about a month. Was trying to get the 30k service stuff done before going into dodge, dont want to give them any excuses to void future warr.
Seems like the ball joint problem is common. My truck still drives straigh tires are good, but I guess I need to check out the ball joints and get them changed out before warr expires

My dad's 03 2500 4x4 had the 72 mph vibe. We took it to the dealer and they replaced the steering box, pitman arm, track bar, and both tie-rod ends. Havn't noticed the vibe anymore so I guess they fixed it. Drive on!! cumminsboy
I'm about 500 miles away too and I am trying to decide if I want to take the hassle of taking it to the dealer. I have the slow change over from heat to defrost and every now and then a problem with the headlights blinking for about 2 seconds but of course it won't do it for the dealer...
