Adrenaline a good idea right now - or no???

Hi all,

i am going to have a small bonus coming to me shortly which should almost pay for an adrenaline w/pulse. would it be ok to add to my truck in sig without any other mods?

i know i could to do fuel system upgrades, mechanical gauges, tranny kits, exhasut etc. first. But with those i don't get the extras like high idle & turbo timer, plus i get electronic gauges. with winter coming fast, the high idle is big for me.

if i were to add the box to my truck would i be safe if i were to keep it in the lower levels? or should i steer clear of it completely until i have all necessary supporting mods?

thanx,
jason

id say go for it. just stay away from the 2000-3000 and dyno programs, the real heavy fueling could lead to trouble. but useing the mileage max portion of the box could be good for you with the fuel prices

Just be careful about higher power settings...your stock tranny can't handle anything close to all the power the Adrenaline can deliver. But it will be the box to have in the future and you can grow into it as much as you want.

Just remember that the Adrenaline right now comes without a fuel pressure sensor and you should most definitely have a fuel pressure gauge first and foremost on your truck. Other than that I say go for it, you will be set for the long run.

ok, thanx guys for the replies. what do the rest of you think?

also, post adrenaline install - what would you suggest as the 'next' mod?

Next mod = Tranny so you can actually use the ADR/Pulse.

you can save the money for a future tranny upgrade! you can use a portion of your incoming for a FP gauge and fuel system upgrade (like bigLine and a better lift pump) plus a mileage module(like the Quad M. Max, very cheap) and next to the tranny upgrade you can switch to the Adrenaline...
this just my opinion!
I'm a little worry about stock tranny when you begin adding hp and torque like the Adrenaline can wake up!
