think about your tranny first at least an upgraded valve body and tourqe converter it not you will need to buy all that and a new tranny when making more power.you will also need gauges for sure. you can get marine injectors cheap and they make good power but they make allot of heat.

With a stock tranny I think a #5 plate is pushing it a little. Also, I wouldn't start the truck with any mods unless you have gauges; pyro and boost at least.

You'll need a boost elbow. It might come with the fuel plate. A 3kgsk will also be a nice mod.

I got my gauges from Vulcan Performance and have been really happy. You will need to extend the wires to the transmission temp sender though.

A 3kGSK will let you rev your engine to about 3200RPM or so, they make the throttle a lot more responsive. I need to get one when I do this 5spd swap!

Okay Thanks, I New To This Diesel Scene And I Have Always Been Building Gas Motors With High Horse, And I Trying To Learn More About These Cummins. With That #5 Fuel Plate Is It Going To Be Smoking Alot When I Towing? Or Only When I Get On It Around Town? Im Just Looking To Get Pretty Good Power Out Of My Truck Without Going To Extreme When I Go To Hook Up To A Trailer My Egt's Will Go Thru The Roof. Thanks!
