'93 W250 & 300HP???

I know of a guy who is selling a 1st gen CDT. It's a '93 W250 Reg. cab 4wd with a manual tranny. I know these were rated at 175hp/400tq. So I'm wanting to know what tranny it should have and what mods do I have to make to get a reliable 300hp to the wheels.

Reliable for playtime or reliable for towing?

The trans is the Getrag, which is not as bad as its reputation. Mine is holding.

Turn up fuel via pump. Exhaust/intake/hx35 turbo with 16cm housing/PODS and a clutch to hold it

Reliable all around performance, with a little of everything except racing/sled pulling. Would a Dual Friction from Centerforce hold up? I know I allready have an '03, but there is something about a 1st Gen Reg. cab 4wd. The price is right too, he's wanting $6500 w/143,000mi. and it's in great shape.

$6500 sounds about the going rate, nothing special. The stock clutch will hold 750rwft-lbs. Which is about 350rwhp. The engine is rated 160hp and 400ftlb from factory. Air and fuel is all that is needed for what you want lol...
