4" exhaust opinions

Hey guys, I need some help on making up my mind on which system to go with. I'm wanting a system that makes plenty of noise and sounds tough. I've listend to a sound clip of a banks system with a areoturbine. It is about what I'm looking for, but is high for what you get in return. I've also thought about bullydog and MBRP. Can anyone give me some info on how the other system sound?

I went to a local shop, they removed my resonator and muffler, made a double offset 3" pipe and welded it in for less than $60. Now it's got a good tone and is straight thru. It'll work, until I get the cash for a new system.

Just another option, what else have you done to the truck?

MBRP makes great 4" systems - the best, IMO.........However, you will see no power gain by installing a 4" system on your truck......You need more fuel for more power........4" exhaust in addition to some other bombs will only help support the additional fuel.......

CmminsBeast,

If you want to get a system like you mentioned, "I'm wanting a system that makes plenty of noise and sounds tough", you should consider getting an MBRP system and a muffler delete pipe. You can try the system with the muffler and then try the delete pipe and decide what you like best. We sell a ton of delete pipes, lots of folks use them and then reinstall the muffler later as they get kind of tired of the noise after a while! Give us a call we can get you a system and delete for a lot less than a Banks and you still be getting 409 stainless, with 100% welded hangers and an easy install.

CTD-NUT has a point too, you will get a few HP and some Torque and lower EGT's with an exhaust, but what you are really doing is prepping the truck for fueling uprgades that are sure to follow, it's an addiction!!!!!!

Give us a call if we can help you with any questions etc. By the way we have sound clips on our site of the MBRP with a muffler.

Mark will correct me if I am wrong..............Pro Series systems are 304 stainless, XP systems are 409 stainless and the Installer series are aluminized......

Digging up an OLD post..... how long is that delete pipe? Will it work with any 4 inch system? No idea what kit is on my truck but i like the slip over pipe so i dont have to butt weld thin tubing... YUck

I love the 5" MBRP i have with no muffler. I have put on 4" MBRP for other guys and liked that to. I use the installer serise and it has worked fine for years. MBRP makes a great kit.

I think the MBRP muffler delete pipe is 36 inches long, but I'm not 100% sure. I would assume that the delete pipe is like their muffler...no welding needed, but you'd have to get your old muffler off without ruining anything. That may not be easy if it's been on there for a while.
