In looking for an exhaust system for my truck , I see some with one bend in the down pipe and a couple with two lesser angle bends. I am sure that the systems with the two bends down pipe would lower the EGTs a little better, but should it be that big of a deal to influence my purches?

 

a Mandrel bent pipe, means that throught out the bend the pipe maintains a constant diameter, I highly doubt a bend will make any difference that you would feel or could measure, total exhaust length would have more effect than bends

 

Hum, never thought about the length adding to EGTs. Well, cheaper exhaust here I come!

 

too large an exhaust thats too long wont allow the exhaust to excape,, think there was a lesson learned somewhere involving school bus exhaust, memory is fuzzy as trades trainng was a looong time ago
