It just needs a wire tap option

Pretty much the only wire tap option... Still think the Smarty is sweet but my 3rd gen buddies just laugh at our optionless world. I just want an "auto high idle at any temperature" program or a "smooth out my annoying HRVP 44" program, that's all......

I have to say that nothing gets my 6 speed out of the hole like the Smarty does. That said, it would be nice to see some new programs or a survey of what we would like to see attempted with new programs.

I imagine the hrvp idle issue would be difficult since there are a few different manufacturers of these.

I've always wanted a little more timing advance andto
reduce off boost smoke, maybe something like the following.

0 psi 25% fuel
3 psi 50 fuel
5 psi 100% fuel

And when folks were snatching a knot in everybody's backside with their 2 year old P-pumped trucks I was driving a first gen and feeling even lower than that. Power, power all around and I couldn't even spin a wheel.

Although Ph4tty already said it, Bob was great when I dealt with him. When it comes time for some F1 injectors, he'll be my first call.

Thanks Tate. Mike I am sorry you feel that way right now. We did supply you with a custom tune and it did not do what you hoped it would.

Marco wrote tunes for Phtty to try to solve the hrvp44 lope. none worked there either.

We know that we are topped out on what power can be gotten out of the vp44.

We should be able to twesk other programs.

I will keep this on the top.

Thanks

Bob, When we last spoke you said Marco was working on some new programs for the 2nd Gen guys and you would let me know when they were up for beta testing... What happened?

I ain't really upset with you, Bob. I'm just disappointed with the progressions with regards to updates. This is not a new fact that has just bubbled to the surface. These request have been going on for a long time. TDR had some long threads as well IIRC...

I appreciated the tune Marco gave me to try just as I'm sure he appreciated me trying it out on the dyno and reporting back with a dyno sheet that I sent to you.

To my knowledge some of the things that can be worked on entail drivability issues, cruise control surging etc... I posted my fix for the vacuum controlled CC, so it's not as though I'm just complaining to complain. I just having a hard time believing that the 2nd gen guys haven't been thrown under the bus to make way for all the money to be made from the 3rd gen crowd.

It's gonna take a little bit more than Marco is going to work on it...

I bought the MAD ECM and a Smarty, so I feel I'm justified in what I say...

Thanks,

Tate, I reread what I wrote. I should have said the Smarty manufacture and not vendor. I realize Bob has little control over what Marco works on.

Smarty works very well with stacks... Its timing map is favorable and works well for most. I have it stacked with the TST Comp and am loving the results. Nothing wakes up my truck more on the bottom end like the Smarty, in fact Smarty #9 is darn hard to control on slick streets!

I would love to see some updates, different tunes whatever. I do feel like we have been left on our own here for long enough.

alright, I’ll throw out a couple ideas. The manual high idle like the 3rd gens have is sweet, but not sure if its even possible with our truck. Also with the hot HUMID summers in Michigan, a catcher version of setting 3 would be nice. With the 4's in the summer, sometimes it can be Smokey. And I like the more linear pedal of setting 3.

Still in love with my smarty
