24v and boost fooler

I just put a 65HP blue chip box on a 98 24v. Chip said if I wanted smoke to not hook up the green wire to the map sensor. I did that and it smokes pretty good and runs GREAT. I wa just wandering what codes will be set and am I getting all the power I can get from this box or is it cutting back some when it goes over stock boost?
thanks

If the truck is throwing an over boost code, then you should get a check engine light and reduced power. If you want to do it for a quick comparison, hook up the green wire and see how she runs.

no check engine light so far and it runs good enough to slip a stock clutch in 4th gear This truck has hardly puller a trailer at all and the clutch should be in great shape with only 77k on it and never haveing a box on it.

This is what I know (judging from a 2001)

you will not go over stock boost without the boost elbow (orifice) installed. The stock elbow has an orifice in it that keeps boost around 20psi.

The boost fooler lies to the computer and tells it that 20psi is all it is seeing.

Do you have gauges? If so, what kind of boost numbers are you seeing?

guages well you see uhhh those come from the next guy when we sell this truck here in a month or two. He knows about the box and everything. We don't pull anything and I have only been hard on it 3 or 4 times for short burst
