Re:Anyone running Goodyear MTR's?
I noticed no E load also. I do not haul much weight anyway. They are a really good looking tire IMO and several friends run them on their smaller trucks with excellent traction. Not sure how long they will last considering the weight of these trucks. I am going to run the 285's.

Wonder how well the toyo's are doing??

The MT/R's are okay in rocks, but clog up pretty bad in mud. You might want to check out Parnelli Jones Dirt Grips if you want something a little more aggressive than A/T's and want to keep your load capacity.
Chris

I put a set of these on my truck a couple of months ago and love them.
They are the Goodyear Wrangler AT/S load range E Black sidewall. It has better ratings than the MTR.
2001 DODGE Ram Pickup 2500 4x4 Quad Cab with an optional tire size of LT265/75R16/E *
Ok I don’t know why the link won't work but if you copy and paste it into your browser it works. ??? durn computers

You have an extra "http" in there:
[url=http://]
Get rid of the "=http://" after the "url" and it will work.
(or click in the quoted statement above, it also should work)

I like the PJ's but not all are E rated just depends on the size you buy. Mine are E rated. Pricey but well worth it!

I looked at the PJ's. No 285's. Oddly enough, I like the stock wheels and feel this size would work perfectly for me. Not much more than the MTR's though. Thanks for the replies fellas. I am going to research the Toyo's a little more.

Re:2003 Anyone running Goodyear MTR's?
my mistake...not Toyo's, Nitto's . MTR 285's have load D at 3300 lbs and 634 revs per mile. Not many tires available in that size. MTR's around $177/tire.

Re:2003 Anyone running Goodyear MTR's?
I ran Nitto's on my daughters Tahoe and they are E rated! They just came off for 36" PJ's but the Nitto's are a HIGH RECCOMMEND!!!! We where running the Goodyears on the Tahoe and Discount had to Warrantee them twice because of wobble so they finally gave us the Nitto's!

I sold the Nitto's to a friend and they still looked great! They rode great, they look great, they wore great, and for a E tire on a Tahoe you could not tell it!

I would buy those tires again in a heartbeat if I needed a size they make.

James

Unfortunately, they do not have the size that I want. 265/17 is all they have. that terra grappler looks good too..

Re:2003 Anyone running Goodyear MTR's?
I'm on my 2nd set of wrangler at/s, 305/70-16's..got 88,000 out of the 1st set..all I play in is sand, and they're perfect for that..road quiet and smooth, wear like iron..don't know how they'd be in mud or dirt..probably poor..

Goodyear rates the AT/S as follows.
On a scale of one to five, five being the highest.
Dry traction 4 1/2
Wet traction 4
Snow 5
Off road 5
Quiet ride 4
Anything that Ive put on my Dogde with ATS in it's name performs great.
