12valve mod help hx 40
well my dads 97 was rolled and totalled off hes got a 98 12valve now and we just put the #11 fuel plate in it with an PDR hx 40 turbo and the fuel plate is all the way forward, its got autometer guages..the turbo just doesnt seem like it made a difference,, it will boost to about 37 or 38 psi then stops, once in a while it seems like it just doesnt build boost very fast after 25psi,, i was wondering how to adjust the wastegate for more boost, but along with that the egts are already fairly high going up a hill with a full 100gallon tidy tank and dry box egts were able to hit 1500 and its blowing a fair bit of black,...my dad still wants to change the plate out for a #10 or get ddp stage 2 injectors, but i think that he has enof fuel right now for the hx40 or will the hx 40 handle more with the pump being tuned right, because it says the turbo is good for 425hp and i really dont think hes at 400 yet.
havent found any boost leaks yet...how well should an hx40 be able to handle an #11 plate full forward with 4inch exhaust and a afe stg 1... also how do i adjust the boost to around 42 psi..do make the rod longer or shorter.?
I think a stock gsk starts to deruel around 2200 rpm, I know my 3k gsk starts to defuels arround 2800rpm and won't pull past 3100rpm on the dyno. Have you moded the afc yet this will help as well?
