help deciding on weather to switch to 12valve or not

well washed my truck after work today and noticed that my passenger side carpet is wet and i had noticed it for the last few months just thougth that it was from when i washed it but its constantly wet and my front end is needing some work balljoints, trac bar and the u joints on the wheels..im gettin tired of always fixing the front end and rigt now im undecided if i want to put some don thuren stuff on there and mogg balljoints and figure out the wet carpet issue or if i should just sell it as is and buy this nice 98quad cab short box 4x4 12 valve 5 speed with 157000kms on it for $12500..sorry for the long post but i guess what im asking is if i put don thuren trac bar and steering on my truck will i have fewer troubles with the front end,,i know the 12valve will have the tracbar issues as well but i wont feel so bad about putting money down to fix it as i will be able to pay cash for it if i sell my 04.5

Cant help you on the wet carpet, but if you put a 5 inch lift and 37s on any pickup you are going to increase wear on the front end. With the money you have in your current rig i would replace the parts with something better and enjoy it! I love twelve valves but i sure wouldnt trade my 07 5.9 for one. Geesh the ride alone isnt worth it.

yea i think im gonna take the 12valve and keep the 04.5 see how the payments work out might end up sellin one but ill decide after i see how i like the 12er....yea putting the 37s on i knew i would speed up the wear of the front end but i think it could have less wear with a better quality lift but i guess you get what you pay for
