No I have an Edge COMP. I might not be selling my truck now I'm giving up hope on finding a nice 12 valve. But the FASS has been exceellent, I would definatly recomend getting one if you plan on doing any mods to your truck. I got mine from Enterprise Engine they have them in stock, I installed mine myself but if I had to do it over again I would let them do it the with the shortbed it was kind of difficult to install, and they were gonna do it for 180 $. There is two different brackets one for short and long bed I ended up with a long bed one somehow so if yo uget one make sure you get the right bracket. If I end up selling my truck and you havn't bought anything yet maybe we can work something out because I will have no use for it then.

k ...............check out my forem list and go to IF YOU HAD TO DO OVER AGAIN i think its in 1st gen but im not sure I asked what year is best to start with before modifiying and I got good feed back and ended up with a "93 so Im kind of looking for a good deal on a stock '93 to play with the $600 a mo. truck payment sucks and I really dont want to tare it up.I have no major mods to hp or tourqe it would be funner in a first gen. turn the screw and smoke like crazy something Ill never get out of my truck with out big $$$$$ and risk bumming a ride to work

For $500 I would buy a used Ez out of the classifieds for probably less than $350 and then buy a Wildcat max flow for $150. Then you address both issues and dont blow your budget.
Good luck

Talk with Rod at Wildcat Diesel.

There is also a fuel system upgrade in the classifieds that Ryan has listed.
Both Ryan and Rod are members here.

The tranny is a whole new can of worms. I think most people are ok with just the ez as long as do the proper servicing. Keep it out of overdrive around town and keep your rpm's up a little more.
The ez will cause a little smoke depending on what setting you have it on but once you get used to it the smoke is pretty controllable. If I want to I can drive all day long and never see any.
The Max flow should have no effect on your smoke levels.
Good luck
