Mine's an Olympus. It's 2 1/2 years old now, but it still takes pretty good pics. The cameras out now take MUCH better pics.
I suggest you go to www.cnet.com and look at the cameras there, and read the reviews of others on the different cameras, plus CNet reviews them as well. www.ZDNet.com might do the same thing, but I'm not sure.

I don't know what you have planned for it, but I regret not getting an optical zoom on mine. That would be so handy to have as I take a lot of animal pics and you can't always be close enough for the best pic. Digital zoom is not as good as the'd like you to think.

Check out my web site to see pics I have taken.

Chris

I have the Sony Mavica MVC-FD73 that uses the floppy disks...it works great no need to upload to the puter just pop in the floppy ,I can mail the floppy straight from the camera ,battery life is great ,and it takes 15 sec movies , mines an older one that Ive used for 5 years but even today it does everything I need.

I also have a Sony. They are great. You take the pics using a 3 1/2 floppy and can transfer them to any computer with out needing a special adapter. One othe nice benefit is the screen is lagre enought to actually see what you are taking a pic of. I put of getting one until I had saved enough pennies for those two reasons. I is also very user freindly.
