Why?

Out of Curiousity, why are people putting gas in their Diesels? It's a no brainer. you put gasoline in gasoline vehicles. you put diesel in diesel vehicles.

Reason 1: You put unleaded into a tank filled with vegetable oil, and that lowers the viscosity enough that you don't have to heat it.

Reason 2: Brain Damage.

Reason 3: Blonde Hair.

(Note that reason's 3 and 2 are not mutually exclusive.)

For the same reason that I pull up to the wrong side of the gas pump sometimes. One car fills from one side. The other car fills on the other side.

Sometimes you don't remember whether you are driving a gas or a diesel?

Now, it all you own is diesel, you have no excuse.

From my personal experience its been to do with the following.

1. Your male 19-25 yrs old and own or drive a -Work Owned- PSD (I have caught 3) 2 ended up with a tow (and problably a chew'n from the boss), 1 said screw it and filled the rest with diesel.

Every female PSD owner I've ever saw has never done it wrong. I think it has something to do with all the nicer horsetrailers I see them pulling.

2. Your a female and own a gaser car. I can't count how many times they've been at the diesel pump looking for the "regular" button, while I'm sitting behind them waiting for them to figure things out. Some pump diesel, some don't. If I get ancy, eventually I'll get out and say, 'lady thats a diesel pump'. Heres your sign....

I have never seen a CTD owner female or male fill up wrong.

One of the steering wheel holders at work ran low on fuel and put some gas in a couple months ago. Cracked a piston before it stopped running. $18k for a rebuilt Cat 3126 installed including the tow bill.

Oklahoma evidently only requires that you be in the front seat and touch the steering wheel from time to time. And that you shoot the bird at the truck you almost hit because you didn't look before you tried to change lanes

I have picked up the wrong nozzle at BP since they think its just dandy to use green nozzle covers on the gas pumps.... Never been a problem because there is no selector button on those for "DIESEL"

BP Marketing Guru that thinks green nozzles belong on gas pumps...

...and probably a good dose of "Hang up the cellphone, and pay attention to what you're doing" wouldn't hurt either.

Probably the same reason why I drive an automatic once in awhile and stomp on the brake pedal trying to shift gears and almost launch myself through the windshield.
