Probably this. http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/europe....ap/index.html

Not for me. My luck someone would put a banana peel on the track.

pretty sure its electric.... hence the wires over the track that are sparking when the train touches them

I'd ride it. At those speeds a Maglev would probably be better, though.

I've been thinking, for several days now, how do they keep that thing on the tracks? Man, a penny might send it into orbit.

And 31,000 Volts, feeding 25,000 HP through a wire with a pickup brush travelling at 350 MPH. WOW.

If that thing comes off the track the crash will go on for about two weeks and other countries will be in danger. Eeeek.

Fortuneatly, the designers have also developed a special tool kit for clean-up after a possible derailment.

That's pretty awesome, but seemingly useless for the masses. They did mention it was a 'luxury' train, so it wouldn't really matter to any of us if it got splattered now would it? ;-) Seriously though, my first thought was what the heck were they chasing it with @ 350mph while filming(do helicopters fly that fast?), and what material are the wires(if it is electric) that can withstand contact at that passing speed for long? Anyways, probably an engineering marvel, but what a waste of resources(after all, it is French...so historically speaking, they will struggle to operate it and fail miserably, then clamor for assistance from the rest of the free world, then ultimately give up at the first hint of trouble, right?). :-)
