Where Can I Find Delvac 1??

I've been considering switching from Delvac 1300 to Delvac 1. I thought I had previously seen Delvac 1 on the shelves of my local Walmart, but I was mistaken (I know, I know....it's hard for me to believe too).

You guys have any good sources for Delvac 1??

I've heard good things about AVlube. Also look in your local yellow pages under "truck parts", you may find a local supplier. Any particular reason you want to spend 4 times as much on oil?

I buy from AVLUBE. It's not exactly cheap but better than Flying J $30 per gallon. I think it comes out to $85 for 4 gallons AFTER shipping so 21$ per gallon/4 = $5.3 per quart.

I just sent in my Delvac 1 with 15K miles on the clock in for analysis... anxiously waiting for results!

Hold that Delvac 1 for a second....

This is interesting. I was just on the Mobil 1 web site. Have you seen Mobil 1 Truck and SUV formula on the shelves yet? It's API CI-4 rated and among others, is Cummins approved.

Wannadiesel, I looked into AVLube but after they added $20 or so for shipping costs it jacked the price up to more than I wanted to pay. Regarding the cost, as I said, I'm considering switching to Delvac 1. That doesn't necessarily mean that I am. It just depends on what I can get it for.

Commatoze, I have heard from others around here that the Mobil 1 Truck and SUV was just Delvac 1 repackaged and cheaper. I have yet to see it on the shelves though. If it really is Delvac 1 as I have heard, then it will certainly be something worth looking into if it ever comes out.

Interesting. When I tried to order some it came out to $100 after shipping....or $25 a gallon. $5.88 per gallon for the Delvac 1300 at Walmart is looking better and better.
