Speakers???

Ok, I'm no expert but I think I can do this (saw someone with it done before). Can I hook up a set of home entertainment speakers in the bed of my truck? This isn't permanent, we just want them there for one night. We are wanting to get some music to the hick party in the pasture! Got some free home entertainment speakers (big ones with 12" subs, 6" speaker, and 3" tweaters). Will these work, or should I just plan on using my stock truck speakers? If this will work, where is the best place to hook them up? I was thinking I could pull off a door panel and wire them in with those speakers, but is there somewhere simpler and more accessable?

it can be done, but in order to do it right you should get an amp. or if you want ez find a tuner and buy a power inverter and hook it up to your car batt. or dont mess and go with the one in your car already.

i have a 95 gmc sonoma with 15" kickers and i have 4 12" in my house.

good luck, if you have any questions just PM me

I've sorta been out of stereo's for a while but seems like I remember that most home speakers are 8 ohm and car speakers are 4 ohm. If that is true you might damage an amp with extended use. I'm sure one of the experts will chime in soon.
