I'm Tom. Did my 20 in the Air Force and retired in 1999. Born in Iowa but San Antonio, Tx is "home". I worked Desktop/Network Support and Administration in the military but find it difficult to get into the field up here. Can't even freelance at the same rates we could 10 years ago. Currently working in the security field until I can find someone foolish enough to take me on (grin).

I work as Office Manager of the Union at Hoover Dam - AFGE Local 1978. Also I am a Temp Organizer for our 12th district, and working on getting my own class for office managers of AFGE Locals. Anyhoo that's my day job, in the afternoons, I train horses... then pick up my 4 year old and become single mother by evening. In my spare time, I work at a body shop sanding cars and pushing paperwork for a good friend (supports my beer habbit)

I work for a major aerospace company in southern California, been doing this for nearly 24 years after doing 4 in the Air Force. Water sports, dirt bikes and camping is my thing. OK, wood working and metal working in the garage are other hobbies.

My name is Jim. A lot of my friends call me Jimbo. I am 6'6" and I used to play a lot of basketball when I was younger so Jimbo became "Gymbo." I am a chiropractor. I have been in practice just over 10 years. I have a lovely wife who is also a chiropractor and 4 children (3 boys, one daughter) who are not chiropractors...yet. My oldest son Zack says that's what he'd like to do when he grows up..he is only 11 so he has some time to decide. I also teach Sunday school to 5th and 6th graders and enjoy it very much.

Re:What does every one do for a living?

Hi, my name is Don and I am a Bombaholic!!!!

I will be 55 years old on New Years day. I've been retired for nearly three years, after putting in 32 years with WSDOT. I started out shoveling the asphalt into the pot holes and ended my career telling others where to put it!!!

Actually, I'm semi-retired. Got bored playing golf everyday, so am now a part time bus driver for the local county transit company. Keeps me in pocket money for the good single malt scotch, which I drink in moderation of course. No sense wasting the good stuff by getting blasted drunk. Besides, takes this old body too long to recover anymore.

Have a wife (#2) of 20 years and three grown daughters out on their own.

Have my second CTD and a 5er to play with. Also enjoy computer bombing and playing golf.

CTDinMT, aka Steve,
I've been in the military for 35 years now and I think I have a decent handle on how it works.
I've come to the conclusion that I don't, at least from the Air Force side. I called your office this morning and was informed that you were taking comp days off. Last I heard, there was no comp time or overtime in the military.
I need to have a long talk with you. You must be one smooth talking individual to get that. Or maybe you have a supervisor that falls in the DWI category.
SHEESH, what is this new military turning in to.
