Name's Dave, new member, and live in the automotive capital of the world. I am glad you use your seat belt because I am a safety restaints engineer (design seat belts and air bag systems). Only DCX systems we do are on the minivan and jeeps, sorry no trucks. Have worn many caps in my life though carpenter, electrician, tool maker and designer I guess I get bored easy. Love anything outdoors and working with my hands.

Howdy Dave...so you are the guy we can blame when the seat belt buckles get twisted one half turn on the belt and get stuck? Then call you bad names while wrestling with the dumb thing trying to straighten it back out

Otherwise Welcome!

from another Dave....

Ya Dave, we are the bad guys when they don't extract or retract just perfect. But its when, your head doesn't go through the windsheild or EMS are not pulling the steering wheel out of your chest we are blessed. Its tough but rewarding job. We fight a lot of regulations and still try and meet customer expectations.

As little as possible.

I have thrown newspapers, pumped gas, washed dishes, worked the parts counter for IH/Pontiac, worked in a wearhouse, drove a truck, moved furniture, worked in an analytical lab for a food processor, installed and upgraded telephone offices, and most recently retired from Texas Instruments with nearly 35 years there. TI was was just "temporary" until something better came along........which it hasn't.

Spend my time now doing whaterever my wife, kids, mother, and brothers and sisters tell me to do, taking care of two horses, four dogs and only four cats now. Try to make it to Colorado twice a year for a little fishing and hunting. Still want to make it to Alaska before the Lord calls.

My name is Sam, I am 20. I live and farm with my dad and brother just south of Abilene, Kansas. I don't have my CTD in a dodge yet. But do have plenty of other Cummins Diesels (in a tractor, the combine, the Freightliner, and the Peterbilt). I wasn't wearing the seat belt when I rolled two times, through a fence and down a hill. The truck still runs and is in the process of being fixed. (My '79)
Have one semester of school left before I will be back home to farm full time. And then hopefully to get my very own CTD.
