What does every one do for a living?
Was just wondering if we as a group have any thing else in common than just our trucks, maybe occupation, where we live. (rural/urban/suburban) Maybe if we drink beer, wine, hard liquour or abstain. Is there anything else?

My name is Mitch and I'm an electrician. I live in Squamish British Columbia, Canada (pronounced Squaw- mish)
Squamish is located at the head of a fjord(called Howe sound) about an hours drive north of Vancouver B C. Its beautful here.
About 8 years ago I was in the construction trade and a friend of mine got out of the trade and into the growing motion picture industry.
I quit my job and got another job with a small company that rents motion picture lighting equipment including diesel generators. Didn't know a thing about diesel but I knew about the electrical part of a generator so after building a few and rewiring many I got quite familiar with them hence cummins was the engine to buy and it just happened to be surrounded by a dodge. So I got one, 96 4x4 dually which I happened to roll 3 times down the sea to sky highway. No breaks but some severe road rash on my left arm due to it smacking the pavement as I rolled over and over. Now I own a 95 4x4 dually and I love it.... now that its slightly bombed.
Anyway thats how I got into it, oh yeah I like beer and wine as I've been making it for 20 years.
Hope to hear from y'all.

sincerely

Mitch

P.S. Wear you seat belt, you never know when its going to happen, I'm here because of mine.

Ride a Norton Commando and an Arctic Cat sled. Live life to the fullest, but figured out about 15 years ago that I am no longer immortal or bulletproof. My name's Jim, I live in Kansas City, MO. I've been doing software support for 10 years in both high-volume retail software call centers and lower-volume vertical markets. I now manage the Help Desk for the KC branch of State Street Bank, which is headquartered in some place called "Boston."
For "fun," my girlfriend and I are renovating a 103 year old house near downtown KC--we've been working on it for about 4 years now and we're closing in on getting it done, with only three rooms and some exterior trim to finish. With the exception of the roof and the HVAC, we've done every bit of the work ouselves. I'm mostly a beer drinker, Milwaukee's Best Light, although I'm partial to single malt scotches on occasion.

Y'all already know my first name. I've been retired from the Air Force for almost 10 years. Stationed in Kansas, Spain, Texas, Italy, and New Mexico. Now a government contractor doing less than 1/4 of what I did while active duty and get paid a whole lot more. Married for almost 15 years - finally found one who would (1) put up with me, (2) be faithful. Empty nesters and loving it. Four kids - 3 still running around this great big ball we call earth. Two dogs who show such joy when we walk in the door after work. Deacon at First Baptist Church. Sing in the Church Choir. Prepare the radio broadcast from this week's service for next week - a challenge but also a lot of satisfaction. Love working on old cars - more of an old Chevy ('50s - '60s) freak. Love home carpentry - either remodeling or gee - what can I make out of this 2x4 ?? Getting our 26' Travel Trailer back in condition so we can start using it again. Live just south of Albuquerque NM. Bought my first Dodge truck in September 01 - my 98.5 CTD. Best truck I've ever owned. Member of DTR, TDR, & IRV2 (and a few others).

Wayne

Mitch, I always wear my seat belt, and always have (even before political correctness and legal mandates). I am a computer software engineer for the mainframe computers, and have been in this business for 30 years. I drink beer only occasionally now, as I was consuming more than I could afford for too long. I am a deer hunter, and go 4x4 mudding several times a year when we have deer camp work parties. My wife is my motivation in life, and my truck is my entertainment!

Hi Mitch,
I live on Vancouver Island. I frequent Squamish frequently because I service the mill in Woodfibre. Usually about every second week. I travel quite a bit for work. I'm a bargemen serviceing a chenical barge at pulpmills around the coast sometimes down south. So my truck runs alot of mileage and fuel cost is number one on my list. Owned a ford diesel but dodge is the best. Email me could give you a call when I'm over that way.
