Yea, GM is looking for handout #3. What I find REALLY amazing is that before the meltdown and gm and dodge filing bankruptcy, the big 3 vehicles could not get decent fuel economy. Now, that 2 out of the 3 have filed, all three are now magically, touting some very decent fuel economy numbers...

You should drive the vehicles with high mileage. I have found them to be gutless and small. The car companies don't sell as much "high mileage" vehicles as their trucks. I am happy to pass them up so others can purchase them and enjoy. I have noticed Ford is advertising high mileage vehicles and quietly ramping the truck production.

Its my understanding that to meet CAFE standards, only a certain percentage of the vehicles have to meet the high mileage standard. Thats how they can produce 10mpg gas hogs and get away with it. Anyway, I think my next vehicle will be a Flex...for the wifey of course.
