Good morning..... back to the swing shift this week. Two hours to go. Phones aughta start ringing shortly, with society's burden on the other end. Troops'll be chcking in on the radio soon as well. Days off pretty much sucked. Did get out fishing, but it's been a few years since I have been completely skunked.....is that coffee ready yet?!<br><br>SERENITY NOW! SERENITY NOW!

Hey Shortround,<br>Here's a tip for ya if you do get the bad news. When we deployed to the gulf, we loaded all the little cubby holes in the track vehicle with pogy bait when packing. But, it was gonna be at least a month on ship for them to get there. A week before we deployed, they advised us what the unit mailing address was gonna be. Couple days before we left, I mailed two care packages to myself. They got there within a week of our arrival. Snacks started getting low when the vehicles arrived just in time.

I feel better now. Had to go out and kick the dog around a bit. ;D<br>Had to do a ready spares parts list yesterday. These parts are the one they carry on the vans for quick use. The logistics idiots had spares for Bradleys. Our stuff is ground mount/Hummer. Their thinking was since we would be attached to a mech unit...........etc,etc. That was the first blow up. Then it got worse as the day went. Talked with one LTC about how much experience he had in this field. He knew what one looked like. Turned out in his 20 years in, his total active duty time was just over a year. <br>Got home and had a few cool refreshing adult beverages, picked a couple big sacks of purple hulls, and got over it.<br>Today WILL go smoother, or I'll just frag 'em No need for that tho, they're doing a good enough job on themselves.<br>Outa here, 0700 meeting.<br><br>notnearlyaspo'edShortround out<br>

Morning everyone,<br>6 hours and I am outta here. Wooo Whooo!!! Don't know why I am so excited, just gonna' sit in the air conditioning all weekend and do nothing, too hot to do anything outside. Redleg, how were the fishies bitin'? Anyone find any coffee yet?<br><br>Have a good weekend everyone.

SR, I feel for ya man! I spent my 20 with the last 5 in logistics for the Air Force. Now, I get to watch from the sidelines the goings on of the KY National Guard. I am amazed that ANY thing gets done. Hang in there. It only gets better....Sure it will work....I know what I am doing....<br>I am the officer, not you.. Don't miss it a bit.<br>Ed
