Hi American people!!!
I'm an Spanish fan of Dodge Rams who wants to meet users of those amazing trucks.
The problem is that time hours are different between our countries so it's a little hard to find you at chat rooms.
If someone wants to start a friendship with an spanish pal
and explain him everybody about trucks, please, write at my e-mail: jfontanet80@hotmail.com

Here you are some of my tips:

Name & Surnames: Jordi Fontanet Torra
I live At a town named Manresa, 60 kms near from Barcelona. Now I'm studiing Risk Management at University (it's a 3 years career) and working at an European car factory (SEAT).
And I love your trucks
I wish to travel someday at your country to see a genuine dodge truck!

Jordi I'll make you a deal, you can come live over her and drive my truck in Texas as a vacation package.... Only 2000 Euros Per week. Travel not included in package deal.

Well you live in a beautiful country yourself. I would love to travel to southern Spain someday.

Ola Jordi, I was in your area about twenty years ago. We stayed in Lorat De Mar (?) and spent some time down in Barcelona. Would like to go back now that I've developed a taste for Port

Hi people! Buenos días!!! Now it's 8 o'clock at my country. I've just got up and prepearing to go at college. I haven't much time so I promise will write you all when I come back home.
Only say that I do not know much about mechanical and english vocabulary about mechanic and truck parts. So I wish you will teach me.
But I can translate some of those vocabulary. For instance. Truck is CAMIÓN in spanish and exhaust pipe is TUBO DE ESCAPE. At our country when we see a pick-up we say it is a RANCHERA. For us this name sounds a lot american.
Thank you everybody to write me!

I think we do only have a little time difference- I'm living in Austria. And I'm driving a RAM.
Actually these trucks are available over here and are fun to drive. (The looks on otehr people's faces )

PM me if you like!

Hi Jordi,

do not pm repeat do not pm Alpine, he is suffering from a highly contageous disease. Talk to him and you'll suffer the consequences .
In fact, you should start with something smaller than a dodge, I can be of help.
Coulda had a dodge if Scotty hadn't been so mean yesterday...
I could have lived with the exhaust fumes and cut down on cigars to make up

here, we have several catagories of trucks.

clean/ nice truck is called...you guessed it...a truck

old/beat up/slow/driven by an "oldtimer".....Farm truck... wether he has a farm or not...we give him the benefit of the doubt.

newer/beat up/smoking driven by anyone.....POS

Jordi, this guy "egghandler" tsk tsk what a name by the way, this alone should make you think, suffers from a severe disease- it's called "The envy of Raingear drivers" -it's almost incurable, except by applying a generous dose of Dodge Ram TurboDiesel with the appropriate modifications to make it streetworthy in Europe.
Basically, to efficiently burn the diesel we've got over here and to fit into the local environment, these trucks will need a little bit of tinkering. (You know these different fuel qualities)
First of all you need to adjust timing. I suggest an Edge pulse (as mine) or better an Edge Comp(Always connect all the wires where they are meant to be connected). Naturally you'll have to do something to the slushbox too. (I chose DTT) -the result is better fuel efficiency. Add some gauges during the process, you will need them. Some turbo that will move the thinner European air is also necessary. Then some injectors that will mix this Euro fuel with the Euro air better than the stock stuff that's optimized for the US. (I used DonMs Mach3s)- Put some good air intake on the vehicle- also for the stated reasons. A 4" straight through exhaust to conform with safety regulations over here will also be necessary- the horns of the Ram aren't too effective, so you risk going unnoticed and are endangered all the time!

Well, back on topic- if egghandler is trying to give you advice, be very careful! Since he's driving a (censored) (censored) pickup like thing with a 4 banger and a turbo that looks like a deformed lugnut, and is totally envious of anyone owning a more decent means of transportation, he'll always want to accuse me of bombing my truck- Which I'd never do! No, I just found a way to adapt it to the use over here! Only to have better mileage, more safety etc.

Hi rob, when are you beating the raingear across the border again ?

Now that clears up a few things! "Thinner European air" indeed. The answer to that is more peanut butter.

Hi, Jordi, welcome to the board, and don't let these guys yank your chain too much. Having seen some of the streets AlpineRam drives his truck down, I'm not too sure he's completely sane...

I'm almost exactly in the middle of the US. Lots of trucks around here, but not as many as in Texas... What kind of Seats do you build?

Hi Jim!

SEAT is a company producing cars (complete cars) that belongs to the Volkswagen group.

http://www.seat.com/

I resent the comment about my sanity- nobody has to question assertedly absent items in my curriculum vitae such as sanity - another indisputable fact is that I'm running out of peanut butter again

Or did you mean this gallery ?

Thinner air...

Maybe for you AlpineRam, look what a mess high up there in the mountains... I have a great advantage! It's name is sea level...higher atmosferic pressure = more air = more boost = more horse power = more fun

BTW great pic! My babe is more on highway/high speed inclined. LOL
