Do you guys rotate who is "on-call", or are you the only one? At my work we rotate the on call person.

Typically we have 4 operators in the rotation. I went on call on Monday and will work until Sunday pm, we have the option of taking any 2 days off during the week in leiu of weekend hours. Most of us go 10 days and take the following Thursday and Friday off then we get a 4 day weekend. It works out pretty good, specially if you want to go out of town. After 10 days youve had enough usually

4AM? Let's see... that's California time, I'm in the eastern time zone and I got into the shop at 7AM, so we got to work at the same time!

4:00 AM????? 4:00 AM????? I only observe one 4:00 per 24 hour period and it's not that one. I don't think you can even get a prayer answered at 4:00 AM. You guys are on your own.
