USA 5 Canada 3

Go Red, White and Blue! I know it is not the medal round, and it was a great game by both sides... Hope to see a repeat in the finals!

I just hope the NHL keeps it going, there is talk that this may be the last time they shut down the Hockey season during the next Winter Olypics...

Congrats on winning.

Now when it actually matters we'll see who nuts up.

Great game, yeah Miller was tough. And I thank Cindy Crosby for the first goal, and actually the second one, too.

It honestly wouldnt break my heart to see the NHL guys stop playin, after all, the olympics are for amateur players. It'd be kinda cool to see all the NHL prospects playing, and college/jr hockey can be just as exciting as pro anyways, to me at least.

i would rather see amateurs in the olympics instead of million dollar paid professionals. these guys already have their time in the spotlight - let some others in on the olympic action.

i think if your main source of income is from your sport - you should not be eligible for the olympics - especially a sport as popular as hockey.

More of a comparison towards NBA players in the summer Olympic basketball.

The stars are going to draw more audience than college players that nobody has ever heard of, IMO.

Having NHL players in the Games can only help to increase interest in the NHL...

30 years later they still talk about the miracle on ice. Just a bunch of college kids no one ever heard of. Can you tell me who the NHL players for the USA team beat 4 years ago? The NHL does not need the Olympics to expand its level of interest to the general public.

That was 30 years ago in a different time and age that I'm not old enough to even remember...great game from what I hear, tho.

All I'm saying is that any exposure to the masses is good for the NHL.

It's not a good sign when Ice Dancing ratings where triple what the USA vs. Canada hockey game was here in the U.S.

The Olympics are not geared towards die hard sports fans.

And the Canadian Networks are reporting a televised audience of over 13 Million for the USA-Canada game up here. Which is significant when you have only 30 million in the country!
