Exclamation No nv5600 in Canada or USA! 5+ weeks in shop

My truck has been in the shop waiting for a new transmission on warranty for 5 weeks today. Still no ETA. When I make my weekly call they just say still no word from DC on when I can expect a replacement. Take care of your nv5600 because I don't think DC cares to much about replacement tranny's!

Since we are on the subject of NV5600's, what is wrong with your transmission and how many miles does it have? We have an 06' in our fleet with 98K miles on it and it grenaded. We contested the quality of the transmission but the area Chrysler/Dodge rep declined it. I have a feeling our truck will be on the shop that long as well, under warranty or not.

See, I am glad I have a G56. At least they still build these!!!!

That 06 should have a G56 also!

There are plenty NV5600's in Edmonton and Calgary....but they are rebuilts and not brand new. Call NADP, they have rebuilts on the shelf and have the best prices by far. See if your dealer will go that route for you so you can get your truck back on the road.

Over 5 weeks is totally unacceptable. They should have at least installed the G56 in the truck.

Seven weeks tommorow. Still no end in sight. 98 12v with 270,000 km's is still running like a champ!

So again...what was wrong with the tranny that it needs replacement? Just curious as that question hasn't been answered yet?

That's just ridiculous!!!!

I wonder if you could get a lawyer involved and maybe get something moving. Especially if its under warranty or just barely out of warranty.

Another update. The transmission has been done and was shipped out of Warren Michigan on Oct 27th 2006. As far as I know it has not hit Red Deer and then it has to be shipped to Dawson Creek. So I figure by next Friday I should have my truck back. Be around 11 weeks in total.
