The Liberty Belle isn't associated with the CAF. The CAF B17 'Texas Raiders' is undergoing major wing spar upgrade at Ellington field.

My Grandfather was in the 8th Air Corp and flew 25 missions over Germany in the B17. I'll never forget the stories he told me...

Great pix, nothing beats the sweet sound of a corn cob engine. Never got to fly in a B-17, but did get a little time in a DC-3

My son and daughter are going to Oshgosh this year and we'll be sure to see a few B-17's maybe take a ride.

And oh yes, the plane will take off.....guaranteed.
