Realizing that you are all alone up north and being almost a Canuk, and myself being a very dignified Southern Gentleman, I wish to inform you that the word y'all is a contraction of you all. Since it is so bloody hot here in the summer months, we tend to condense our verbage in order to have more time to swill cold beer.
