STP Bug and Tar remover also works well, with less residue...

Wd-40

I always spray a good amount of WD-40 on there, clean it up really good. Wash the area good with car soap, then put on some wax there. While I don't think wd-40 takes wax off, sure dosn't hurt to do it again.

any automotive "wax and grease remover" the napa/martin senior stuff is kinda water soluable. use it at the coin op wash not at home in the drive way. it is a chem' and the epa would not be happy about it runnung down the drain. the car wash is fair game though. not your drain.

Kerosene, charcoal lighter fluid or WD-40 works good for me.

Soak it with WD-40 and hit it with a hose. Won't hurt the paint at all.

Nope, he's right... if the tar isnt too thick or hard, mayonnaise works great at removing tar, or dryed on bugs on the grill ... so does baby oil ....

I use mineral spirits. Usually anything petrol based will work, just some is harder on the paint than others...

I little gas cuts it right off, then wash the truck.

If all that fails, a grinder or sander will take it right off. watch the paint, though.

Stoner Tarminator works great!
Or WD-40 also works. What ever you use apply a protective wax after to the tar wont stick "as easy" next time.
