Bigger than mine

Took a trip to the UPS ramp at Mather Field (Sacramento) in one of our little C-402 feeders to repair another one like it. I was stationed here in the early 80s learning to work on B-52s. I gotta say the USAF sure kept the place looking much better.... Then again the labor was cheaper I'm sure. The big one is a 767.

Neat stuff!
I lived on Mather for a couple of years when I was a kid.
Weird memories.
During the Cuban missile crises I remember all the B-52's leaving and going to Florida (along with my Dad).
The base seemed deserted but we had a lot more bomb shelter drills (I still dream about those huge airplane engine sirens).
I was in third grade at Kitty Hawk elementary school when President Kennedy got shot.
I was confused,, I knew I was supposed to be sad but was happy to get out of school early.
Its neat that twenty years later you were working on the B-52's at Mather. Probably some of the same ones that were there when I was a kid.

I was raised in the Sacramento area and used to watch the B52's launch from there.....it was quite a site when the whole squadron left the ground in a scramble.

California Approved

My new approved self defense weapon! May as well let my CCW expire. This baby is made from billet aluminum, has a Gov't approved 8 round mag AND the rubber bands are environmentally safe. I have had a few fail to feed issues however. The weapon itself is recyclable.

It matches the profile of Jacksons HD commercial wheel barrow.

With a flat hoe, you always have junk in the sides / lower corners of the barrow, and with the profile cut like that, it swipes those corners clean. This allows proper mixing of all of the concrete, vs having dry stuff in the corners.

I don't do more than 8-10 bags on a particular job, so it's easy enough for me to hand mix them.

I don't think you will stand a chance against TOP, as I've seen his pistola mounted to his dash in his truck. A weee bit more powerful than your rubber band thingy....

Would be really good for shooting the dog in the *** when he wasn't looking, though..

You think they have dumb ideas now, look at the hairbrain ideas they had back in the 50's.

I remember reading this in my Popular Mechanics magazines back in the 50's and 60's and wondering how many innocent people would also get shot.
Looks like they had a gangster mentality back then.

This is back when the magazine cost 25 cents.

I could see LAPD using this today.

And the Taser was invented.

And so Body Armor was born.
