I have watched that guy before, he's pretty good at explaining the word,

Did he say "take this 9mm to that boy" as in "bring this tool of personal defense to that boy so that he can defend himself/us" or as in "take a switch to him and wear his hinderend out"?

The 9mm was to be used as a defense against the boy , obviously an intruder in the studio .

Ah, I guess it'll do. Just so's ya knows, I was born & raised within sight of the NYC skyline but never bought any of that "people are inherently good and guns are irredeemably evil" treacle.
Guns are tools, nothing more, nothing less. Sometimes some idiot will use a tool improperly and it impacts the rest of us; if the aforementioned idiot stabs someone with a screwdriver, he will be punished. However if he uses a firearm on his victim, the rest of us are punished.
