just looked up his website, apparently he is still allowed in CA. I have a cousin who works for him who told me he got into some serious trouble there and was kicked out, maybe he was lying to me....

Yeah, looking at several of those videos it is an interesting concept, but from eyeballing it I can't see the arm those pistons ride on taking the force that would be generated by actual combustion.

Also it claims only the rings and not the pistons contact the cylinder (for lack of a better term). Seems to me there isn't an adequate path for heat to leave the piston, and no provision to lubricate the rings...

I agree that it probably needs alot of work but the concept is interesting. I imagine Rudolph Diesel received many of the same type of comments back in the day. And look where we are now with diesel.
