Pick up a sled tomorrow morning...

Ok, I have itchy pants and I gotta tell someone ( I told the wife and she kinda rolled her eyes and said "whatever.."). I just picked up a, new to me, sled, its an 06 Yamaha, SX Viper, 144" track with 2" paddles. It comes with a spare ripsaw track and a factory Yamaha cover. 1800 miles and is in brand new condition, always stored indoors. Last year for the Yamaha 2 strokes and am really wanting to try the machine. Keep in mind, my old sled was a 1979 Kawasaki Invader 440 so this should be a good step up.

I pick it up tomorrow morning.

I want to see the look on your face when you crack it wide open the first time.

You will be able to see his face because he's gonna be laying in the snow about a mile behind it wondering what happened. Be carefull, thats more machine than I could ever handle.

I know its an old post, but finally got some pics. This is a seriously fun sled. That 700 triple really turns on (slapped in a new top end) and when the power valves open, its all ...

Nice, low mile sled!

Yamaha's are for people who like to ride their sled instead of work on them.

I'm a proud owner of an '06 Apex GT.

Yea, I really like the Yamaha brand. The fit and finish, attention to detail and level of engineering is pretty amazing. They even use REAL automotive paint, not colored plastic like my YZ450F. This sled even has titanium power valves.

Initially I was looking at the 06 and up 4 strokes, but this "holy grail" of sleds popped up and it took all of 1 minute to decide for it to come home with me.

Nice looking sled, looks like you got a good deal. Those triples are a blast, a little on the heavy side but once you get it in a straight line, hold on!

Rode my buddies modded FX Nytro, it's insane. I'll never buy a short track sled again.

Friend has had 2 turbo Apexs and now he has a turbo Nytro (all MC Express kits) and seems to like it better due to less weight.

When the tracks finally get some traction..........................
