PC/wireless router Gurus, need help please

I'm operating several wireless networks with Linksys hardware and I'm running DD-WRT on all of them. Uptimes for several months with high loads and multiple connections etc- anything you would not want to do to a router or AP- you might have a look at www.dd-wrt.com and see whether this stuff suits you. I do not know about the legal points of running a firmware that will let you increase the output ow a wireles device by 900% in your area.

I think that disabling the SSID is really a waste of time. But, if you must:

If you restart your pc after disabling the SSID broadcast, the pc won't be able to connect to your network - it'll be looking for the SSID.

If the pc is already connected to your network, it will stay connected after you disable the SSID broadcast. Did that make sense?
