Angry Pay Pal Resolution? Ebay deadbeats!

Furious tonight after 3 failed ebay deals. Well....2 ebay deals and one additional deal from the same ebay seller. Luckily everything was paid for thru Paypal and hopefully I will get reimbursed. ARGGGGGHHHHH! Just needed to vent! Anyone have experience using paypal's dispute thingy? Hopefully it works.............

We went thru it not long ago, it wasn't for diesel related stuff but we got every dime back and then some.

It's amazing how someone jumps when they get 17 negatives in a row on a perfect 100% rating.

Hope you get it all back.

Jeff

If you received the item you will be not getting anything as paypal only deals with the shipment of goods, not the condition. Basically someone could send you a brick and paypal would not care. Best off paying with a CC through paypal so you can make a chargeback if need be. That said one time I bought something and it never showed up and the seller didn't have a tracking number and basically Paypal refunded my money.

It works as long as they have money in their account. If they have cleaned out their account then they might rule in your favor but let you know that you can not get your money back because there is no money in their account. I have had it work both ways for me, got my money back once and didn't once.

as long as you are the buyer...it does.

don't be frustrated, it can get worse. 9 years of ebay here about 900 transactions. i could bang my head against the wall for some stupid buyers that ignored the print and filed a claim, paypal gives the whole shot to them, shipping and all. paypals rules say they don't reimburse shipping, so ask for it.

when i had a claim against a buyer, I had to get a specialist accompany me to the post office to open the package and inspect it right there. over 600 dollar part was trash but seller claimed it was totally remanufactured. I had to fight tooth and nail to get paypal to reimburse me.

try to find sellers with a long name history, over 400 transactions, most at selling. ask questions about an item before bidding. if interested, just 'watch' the item for a bit. do not bid right away. many sellers have shill bidding now that all bidders names are restricted. if your bid jumps from the amount shown to twenty or thirty bucks higher, with no other bid activity. it is a shill bid, contact ebay first and have seller withdraw your bid.

rest easy friend, there are still awesome people left! made some great connections and finding parts due to asking questions. just hang in there and fax any documents you may have regarding the sale. postal info, anything.

Yup!.......no tracking number from seller....one thru ebay, the other a personal deal. The other ebay item was not right. Have no clue what it would fit, but definately not what I was needing! Put it all thru Paypal tonight......we'll see. Just glad it was only like $65 for all three items. The guy I bought 2 off of keeps sending me emails saying things like " you already have the items don't you" and "you never asked for insurance or a tracking number".........worthless deadbeat. It could have been worse, but I was just telling a guy the other day how lucky I had been using ebay........

I've had dealings with paypal both as buyer and seller. PayPal says they help the seller but I say BS. PayPal is 99% for the buyer and 1% for the sellers side. I have been selling on eBay for many years and so far have had good luck with PayPal. Not great luck but still OK enough to keep using it for both buying and selling. Main thing is to keep ALL e-mails and show proof of shipping items or sending items. This will make things much easier.

I always move any money I recieve out of my accound immediately just in case I ever get hit with a bogus claim. If PayPal locks my account I just won't deal with them again.
My brother got shut down by PayPal and E-Bay once. He sold a really nice toy fire truck. It was super cool. Well, the purchaser got it and then found one cheaper. He took the extension ladder and broke it and claimed my brother sent it to him broken so he could send it back for a refund and buy the cheaper one. My brother told him to pound sand and he ended up filing a claim against my brother. They sided with the buyer and my brother got banned from e-bay until he pays the money back that they paid the guy on his claim.

I'd be really upset if I were out a large amount of money. This is more frustrating than anything. All I want is what I paid for. I've never scammed anybody, nor do I intend to. In all honesty, I'd pay again for the parts if I was sure I'd get them! I did get them cheap, but is that my fault? One seller has already stated that they are going to wait the full amount of time to respond, and have blocked my e-mails.......little do they know....I have another e-mail and........I have a bunch of friends.......we can cram their inbox with all kinds of fun! LOL

I got hosed by Paypal once too. I sold a Ertl top fuel dragster a couple of years ago and the guy said it was damaged. Before talking to me, he put it through Paypal and they withdrew the money instantly. He said it was all busted up and was not as described. When he finally sent it back, it had a different s/n on it.(it was a ltd. edition 2500 only) When I brought this up to Paypal and even showed them the pics of the car before I sent it showing the S/N they didnt want to hear about it. I quit using them for a few years but you loose a lot of sales not accepting Paypal.

Another thing that annoys me about Ebay is how sellers strongarm you into leaving positive feedback. When I sell, as soon as the money clears, I leave them feedback. I expect the same when they receive the item and are happy with it. They send you messages to leave feedback if you received the item, but I say I have completed my end, wheres my feedback? I know it may sound petty, but I think this is how there are so many sellers with 100% feedback.
