Ouch my back!!!!

Which one of you parked your truck on my back last night? I bent over to put my boots on this morning, and had to lay on the floor to lace them up.

Guess I pinched a nerve or something in my lower back as my legs are slightly numb.

Anybody a back fixer? Any good ideas? I tried a chiropractor years ago for something similar after a wreck, but insurance won't cover one now.

Guess I'll be sleeping on the floor for awhile.

You could try to find a good "deep tissue" massage therapist, maybe at a sports rehab center. The therapy hurts like #$@#%, but you feel better in a couple of days.

And don't sleep on your stomach. It's brutal on your back.

I've had that happen before. It is not pleasant. My chiro was able to take care of it.

Sherod, what do chiros charge around you? Mine is $25 or $30 for a back adjustment.

$76-90 charge first visit when all you get is an x-ray and a reschedule. Next visit will be about $35-$50.

They want to schedule several sessions, not just a quick fix.

I have one of those inverted tables thats great for something like this. It hangs you upside down and lets everything stretch back out and go into place. Usually about 3 minutes upside down like that puts mine right back..

Rick, the folks are shipping me one of those. Should have it in a few days.

Wife just brought me in a brace belt and I have been wearing it for about an hour. Starting to feel better. May have to wear the thing a few days.

Thought about whimpering and whining this morning, but no one else was awake to appreciate it.

Find a willing, relatively light weight, well balanced, female with good toe dexterity. Have her walk around on there now and then. Might be able to work out a trade, maybe increase in allowance, trip to the movie theatre, etc.

Sleeping is the worse thing you can do. You need to ice your back for about 15 minutes then do stretching exercises. You can look back stretches up on the net. An anti-inflammitory would help too.... naproxen sodium or ibuprofin.

I'm going to have to break with the group on this one, and say that if you've got some numbness in your legs, you need to go to a real doctor ASAP. Ice pack, NSAIDS and stretching are good, but don't mix alcohol with acetaminophin- it can trash your liver.

Some ciros are OK and probably can help with joint/nerve issues, but some think they can cure the common cold by aligning your bones with the cosmos, and those guys kind of scare me.

Feel better soon, Sherod.

That sucks. The guy I go to is really good. I only need to go maybe 2-3 times a year.

I can't use those. Get nasty headaches from them. It happens pretty quick, too.
