most gifts wrapped, hubby made tomato soup and grilled cheese- HUGE!! life is good. checked out Christmas lights in the village, gave out some oranges to our NAPA guys hehehe

hubby replaced sway bar attach point. he doesn't know how it seperated.

Just got back. 81/2 hours of slush, snow, rain and high winds but got the generator.
Also, picked up the stuff my wife wanted at Costco.
I love Costco but its a good thing it is so far away.
I might have gotten a little carried away again.
Subaru was so full I had to use the roof rack for the bulk toilet paper and five gallon bucket of dill pickles(they were a great deal).
Don't think my wifes going to let me go to Anchorage by myself anymore.

Everybody likes a good sausage. Picked up some Salumeria at Costco today along with some good cheeses, stuffed olives and some----I better start unloading the car, I think my wife is still a little irritated at me.

Hey!! Why didn't you tell me they were having a severe storm advisory. Those 70-90mph gusts and the rain on the ice along the arm were terrible.
Wait a sec, If my car hadnt been weighted down with all this stuff I got at Costo I probably would have been killed. Ha!! Thats what I will tell my wife, she wont think I'm such an idiot now!

Bark - glad you made it home safe and sound. I may not be as far north as you, but winter is just different for those of us north of the 49th parallel.
When you have to use chains, studs and winter tires (not all seasons) 6 moths of the year just to get groceries and to and from work, it is a different lifestyle.
No word of a lie, I own a pair of snow shoes and they truly get work.

friggin' fire alarms went off 5AM today...they do an automatic test if we don't run one every three months...guess we forgot. will not happen again...

A little worried about cougar. I managed to skip out south along the coastline and into the pass right before the really big blow that was coming in. Heard there were some road closures due to accidents out in his direction.

You are correct to take her side (in the long run I am usually wrong). She's not really sore but she is trying to figure out what to do with 5 gallons of dill Pickles. I told her "Everybody likes Pickles" but that didnt help. Gotta learn to keep my mouth shut until I have something profound to say.

I still have four pair of snow shoes even though the kids are gone. Luckily, I have retired so I dont have to leave a vehicle parked on the main road to hike to any more.

"will not happen again"!! We have a big note on the calendar plus a friend at the FD that reminds us to change our batts.
My 80+yo mother calls me to remind me (she cant remember where her cane is but remembers to call about batteries) We still forget by the next day. Too many little batteries, lights, warnings and stuff.
PS: I ignored the sausage jibe. Wife is pretty good with a cutting knife so I aint offering her no sausage when she is irritated.

And these chicks in convertibles with their bikinis on that didn't have enough room for the labels were coming by and just carrying on. Man that makes it tough driving. ..........

Long day today - - heading for the ranch to pound nails and head it up for the final. Electricians, plumber and AC all there to wrap it up. Install the hurricane protection and ready for the final. Wow, maybe I should have just subbed out the whole job - - been done a lot faster and I wouldn't hurt so bad.
