The "Official" One Week Til Christmas Breakroom
Anybody see what happened to that bowl of dual base Nitrocellulose/Nitroglycerin smokeless powder I had sitting on the counter? It looks kinda like coffee grounds and I was going to load some custom shells for my 300Wby this afternoon.......
I just got off the phone with friend living in North Dakota near the Canadian border. He said that since early this morning the snow has gotten nearly waist high and is still falling. The temperature is dropping way below zero and the north wind is increasing to near gale force.
He said his wife has done nothing all day but look through the kitchen window and just stare.
He says that if it gets much worse, he may have to let her in.

Love it when we send Canada a good storm. When it hits the lower 48 they blame the Canadians.
Ok-Ok. So its not a weather report but its pretty close
.
Im still waiting for them to give me a key to the bathroom.
I was so happy when I got into the pass and left most of that one behind.
If that happend I would stick my head in the bucket and try and brine myself to death.
Oh, you were joking
.
Last night I test ran the generator in the garage before it goes to its shed. Also accidentally tested all the CO detectors in the house

I always wondered what I would say if I got caught picking up road kill.
Now I know.

My Mom and Dad taught me to never pass up an easy buck (or havalina) but I still never thought about telling passerbys or LEO's (LEO's never cared if I was picking up road kill) that I was taking it to the hospital. Still, I dont know how I can explain it with a thousand pound moose since you have to cut it up a little to get it into your car.
Got lots of company coming here starting friday night. Trying to clean up and put away anything that might embarrass them. This is going to take awhile.
Evening Shorts, Scott and everybody else who is still up.
edit:
Aaaagg, the vacume cleaner just ate something that squealed

Evening all,
Can't get the drill string back to the bottom...
Talking about it in a meting today, kinda wondering what was going on, what to do, why it happened, lots of this and that...
Taking a page from my 'DTR LARY ELIS TOP edumakashun', during a break in the BS, I spoke up and told everyone "Well if we can't hit bottom, we might as well give the sides Heck".
The silence was golden, then the VP bout choked on his coffee...

Sorry about the current drilling. Think I told you about working at Akuluk in 1980(i think). Oil based mud.
Target was 17Kft. They started twisting off at 14kft and it got worse. Every time they twisted off they ran off the whole crew (I had grown to hate working the floors so I was the working as medic/meteorologist/radioman/bullcook on that job so I just hid in a corner).
They twisted off enough times that they started rotating in crews they had fired just weeks before.
I still dont have a clue if they ever found anything since (as normal) they just suddenly shut everything down and said see ya at the next job.
Hope your current job lasts forever but (as you know) working with the good old boys is always a shot in the dark.
