Scott, its Emergency Rescue Training. I also have to take my fall protection and confined space training.

Radar shows a large hook of T-storms with 60 mph plus winds headed our way.
There are reports of 90 mph plow winds too. Just two hours ago there was a 10% POP and now its 80%.

You got that kind of training there? Different name for it?

Ours is described as being tailored to our environment at work...rescues from the cranes, off scaffolding, lowering down of high areas of the factory etc.

I guess that would be high angle rescue and/or confined space rescue here. I never did much of that except when I HAD to. We saved that kind of thing for the String Monkeys... er, I mean the truckies.

High angle was mentioned as part of this ERT stuff.

On another note...
Something I am very proud of...
I achieved 27 yrs sober today. I would not have my wife and child or probably my own life had I not done something positive about my drinking. Someone would have taken me out the way I was going...I was also taking myself out.
