DTR New Years Party and Breakroom! Last Breakroom for 2009 (12.27.2009-1.2.2010)

Well it's that time again! Time to start the week out with a fresh and somewhat clean breakroom.

Fresh coffee, tea, sweet tea, and ph00 are on the counter.

The dragon has been eyeing the Tequila sitting on the shelf, watch him carefully. We don't need a drunk dragon again.

Hope you all had a good Christmas. Lets look forward to a new year and hopefully it's a better and more productive one.

Good morning, gang. Gorgeous Sunday morning out there - - I think - - too dark to tell. A bit cool this morning. Time to hit the shower, put on my best bib and head to church. Come join me.

Coffee did not get much use last night and smells pretty strong - - soooo, freshened it up with some air freshener and it should be ready to go. Let's get up and get with it - - don't waste the day. UP UP UP.

See ya later,

Bob

Wow! Claude went to bed before 0100! That's got to be a first!

Morning everyone.

Today is Sunday, December 27th.

On this day in 1831 - Charles Darwin set out on a voyage to the Pacific aboard the HMS Beagle. Darwin's discoveries during the voyage helped him form the basis of his theories on evolution.

1845 - Dr. Crawford Williamson Long used anesthesia for childbirth for the first time. The event was the delivery of his own child in Jefferson, GA.

1938 - The first skimobile course in America opened in North Conway, NH.

1945 - The World Bank was created with an agreement signed by 28 nations.

1947 - The children's television program "Howdy Doody," hosted by Bob Smith, made its debut on NBC.

1951 - In Cincinnati, OH, a Crosley automobile, with a steering wheel on the right side, became the first vehicle of its kind to be placed in service for mail delivery.

Kind of a slow history day today.

Hi everybody. It's still morning for some of you and afternoon for others, so that makes for just a HI.

Feel bad for some of you that have to deal with that nasty white stuff and all the rain, but that is the reason I am where I am. I was able to escape and did. It is an absolutely gorgeous day here. Just a hint of a breeze and 70 degrees F. Nice brilliant blue, cloudless sky.

Just came in from digging in my lawn from try to find a broken sprinkler pipe. Lots of mud. Too hot in the sun to work any more, so am going to take my wife out for lunch and get my dirty truck washed. $2.75 (35 pesos) to get the truck hand washed and dried. There is a crew outside the restaurant that does this while we eat.

Wanna join us for a nice Mexican lunch?

nice to walk around at night, calm and moonlight!! hubby still playing game, was up till midnight. I read a good book all night, made him breakfast and then snoozed on the couched while he was back at it. kids!

hubby really happy, so we went for a hike scouting trees soon to come down. filled up the boiler and refilled the wood wagon. hubby had put a steel roof(slanted) on it to keep off the rain/snow. works pretty good, looks like the old style farm produce self serve wagons of my youth. we are taking the day off today.

got a simple to use Garmin GPS so I know where I am going and how to come home. slippers that keep my footies warm, all I can ask for!!!!

hope all with snow have safe travels and no particular place to go...do dee do

spiral cut roasted ham leftovers in the oven. dragon is confused as to which off limits item he is going to sneak- tequila or ham....
gonna watch the Bills get trounced by the cheerleaders or something...
