Question Motorcycle Alarm advice

so i was looking for a motorcycle alarm for my 02 honda vt750. (i know it isn't worth anything compared to some bikes but if it got stolen i'd be screwed.) so i was wondering if anyone here has any advice on what to look for and what to stay away from...... i've already ruled out chain locks as that seems way to easy to just cut and take the bike...... or does anyone have any experience they'd like to share on a specific brand/model??? thanks in advance!!

the alarm on my 08 harley is pretty nice. If the handlebars are moved or the bike is moved the security system disables the starting system until i come close with my key fob and place the key in the ignition and start the bike. Otherwise the blinkers will flash till i disable the alarm. there are sirens you can buy for the systems as well just dont have on myself.

Check out Lojack, it has a good theory behind it, if the cops can find it before the bike gets laid down.

I got a Gorilla motorcycle alarm. They are a favorite in the lower budget simple types. Its very basic but it does everything I need it to. It has a shock sensor, tilt sensor, and a current sensor (detects hotwiring). I got the pager for mine as I live in an apartment. It hooks up with 2 wires and simple placement of a couple sensors. Its pretty much self contained and super loud. It dosnt flash the lights or have a starter kill if you want that kinda stuff tho. I paid $170ish.

You can spend up to $500 on some, mine does fine.

Brake rotor locks work good can't be cut with a bolt cutter can only be cut with a torch

I display custom bikes and alway put rotor locks on the front and rear rotors
