Michelin Tire Opinions (not for a truck)

Looking at putting these on my wife's RX300: Michelin Cross Terrain SUV.
I was not happy with the Michelins that came as OEM on my Ram (not agressive enough tread and I thought they wore rather quickly). But these are for a different application and I know a lot of people really like Michelins.
Anybody running these on any of their vehicles and have any opinions? I would like to hear them.

Thanks,
~Rob

I don't know about those but I have had good service out of the ones on the 3500. Not an aggressive tire, but they held up for 81k, of hard use.

I wanted to put the Cross Terrains on my wife's Durango, but they didn't come in the load range required for the GVWR of her vehicle (it has a "high GVWR" package). Therefore, I had to go with the Michelin LTX M/S tires which have provided excellent ride, handling and NVH characteristics. Discount Tire advised that the Cross Terrains ride a little harder and are noisier than the LTX M/S, but are better off-road. Take that for whatever it's worth since I can't confirm or deny it.

Cross Terrains on a Lexus? Sounds like an oxymoron, but I've seen stranger things.

Whew,
Took the wife's car to Discount Tire to get the Michelins (some people at work had them on their vehicles and they swear by them). They seem to be quieter and have a better ride than what was on there as OEM, of course that fact that I just spent ~$720 on them might have clouded my objectivity during the test ride.
While I was there getting her tires put on, I told the manager that I was not happy with the 285/75/R16 Nitto Terra Grapplers they put on my truck last November. I have less than 20,000 miles on them and they are wearing like crap. I also mentioned I was not happy with the OEM Michelins on the truck. He (and I ) believe it was because they were the LTX A/S's. Anyway, he said to bring the truck by and they would take a look at the Nittos and "see what they could do". The Nittos come with NO mileage warranty. He suggested a Michelin LTX M/S with a longer lasting (as compared to the Nittos) and more aggressive tread design (as compared to the LTX A/S). In the 285 size, they run $185 a piece. They treated the Nittos as if they came with a 40,000 mile warranty on them (which they did not have to do), so they sold me the LTX's for $92 a piece. I got 4 new tires with 100% road hazard for $490. That was totally cool on their part, since they did not have to give me anything at all on the Nittos. I will be back as a customer of theirs.

Dude,
You have just seriously torqued up my wife by calling her car a minivan. She only weighs 105 lb's but she is making my arm black and blue from the beating she is administering to me because of your comment. Never seen her little fists flail so fast. Thanks Jim.

Wonder what she'll do when I call it a jacked-up station wagon?

She said I still had the other arm she could pulverize. She mentioned something about "trying out her kickboxing moves" as well. I knew sending her to that class was gonna backfire on me.

My wifes Ford Escape is running Cross Terrains. You can see that the tread pattern is not real aggressive, but my wifes SUV is exactly like 99.8% of the SUV's on the road (the only time it leaves asphalt is when it pulls onto concrete). I am very happy with them, they are a dramatic improvement over the stock Firestone Wilderness HT's that came with the Escape.

Over the years I have had good luck with Michelins.

My girlfriend has them on her MB 320. They are her summer tires and she has another set of wheels with winter tires on them. They seem to be holding up pretty good. I think she has about 3 summers (May-Nov.) on them so far and she should get another 2-3 out of them. I would recommend them.

Hey, I just calls 'em like I sees 'em. A girl I work with has the Toyota version of it, the Highlander, and strangely enough I get the same reaction from her. I tried to get her to buy a diesel pickup when she said she was looking for a 4x4...
